  6. Chelsea FC to Open a Football School in the Philippines

Since football (soccer to others) is getting more popular in the Philippines *again nowadays and another historic victory of our National Team aka The Azkals on the recent Asian Football Confederation or AFC Cup for finishing 3rd place plus Phil Younghusband winning the Golden Boot award here’s another happening in the Philippine Football that will make everyone do those silly victory dances of Phil Younghusband and *Anghel Guirado.

As you could read on the title above, yes IT IS TRUE! The English club Chelsea will have a Football School here in the Philippines. Prior to the official launch of The Chelsea FC School there will be a Chelsea FC Soccer School summer camp powered by The Younghusband Football Academy and will have a limited number of slots for intermediate and advanced football training that will also be overseen by some of the club’s coaches. The age groups will be divided as follows Under-8, U-10, U-12, and U-16 for boys and girls.

The Younghusband Football Academy summer camp will be held at the Evia Football Field in Las Piñas on April 17, 19, 24, 26 as well as on May 3, 8, and10. The culminating activity, the Official Launch of the Chelsea Soccer School, will be held on May 15 at the SM Mall of Asia.

For more information about The Chelsea FC Soccer School, please visit www.theyounghusbandfootballacademy.com or contact 09478357519.

If popular players of Chelsea FC such as Didier Drogba, John Terry, Frank Lampard, David Luiz, Juan Mata and yes even Fernando Torres et. al will be present on the official launching of the Chelsea FC School here in the Philippines it would be so awesome even I’ll be really there even if I’m a die-hard Los Blancos fan and Red Devil supporter ;) AND I am a 100% sure that if Fernando Torres will be there my good friend Jeanne will not miss it and will surely tweet/ text/ PM me on Facebook to go to that event with her. But honeslty, even if it only Lucas Piazzon will be present on the event I’m already sold. Ha ha

Anyway, if your interested or your interested to enroll your brother/ sister/ daughter/ son in the Soccer School Summer Camp of TYFA better send those application forms or call now because slot is limited.

    Information about Chelsea FC

Chelsea FC was founded in 1905 by Henry Augustus Mears. Home games are played at Stamford Bridge stadium, the original site Mears chose for the club. The team had mixed fortunes over the years, not winning a major trophy until the 1950s and moving up and down between divisions several times. The Blues improved their standing since the 1990s to become one of the most successful clubs in English football. They won English Premier League titles in 2004–05 and 2005–06, adding to their only previous league win, in 1954–55 (then in the Football League First Division), and making them the second English team to win consecutive championships since the founding of the Premier League in 1992. Chelsea added a fourth league title in 2009–10, setting a new Premier League record by scoring 103 goals over the course of the season. They took the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1971 and 1998 and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Super Cup in 1998. Chelsea FC won the Football Association Challenge Cup (FA Cup) six times—in 1970, 1997, 2000, 2007, 2009, and 2010.

Information about the Younghusband Football Academy

The Younghusband Football Academy is a series of enhancement clinics for football skills around the Philippines. Philippine National Football Team players and brothers James and Phil Younghusband who both played for Chelsea FC, one of the largest football clubs in the world, established TYFA in January 2010. Both have UEFA coaching credentials with Phil having a level 2 UEFA coaching badge and James having a level 1 UEFA coaching badge.

*again: It’s because the Philippines is actually the first football nation in Asia. Before the Americanization the Philippines defeated the now top Asian football teams such as Japan by 15-2 and the Asian Football Confederation, the association football in Asia was founded in the Philippine in 8 May 1958.

    *Anghel Guirado: the correct spelling is actually Angel Guirado but people often pronounced his name in English instead of Spanish which is Ang-hel.}

  7. Who can lead Chelsea to success and re-establish an identity for the club?

    afootballreport:

It’s a question that has no easy answer. The intangibles and the ever-rising feeling of ambiguity plague the fans. But the thing that makes Andre Villas Boas’ sacking most sobering is the fact that Chelsea still look completely lost. They are lost not only in the sense that they cannot find a rhythm on the pitch. The club’s identity hangs in limbo, as the winning mentality that has been so prominent in recent years is fleeting rapidly. And a workaholic, a man obsessed with making Chelsea a power once again was merely tossed aside on to the street, albeit with nine million pounds in compensation, which is not too bad if you ask me. Now those partaking in football betting have the difficult task on their hands of determining what exactly happens next. Media outlets are picking names out of a hat and screaming them at the top of their lungs. It’s chaos, but whoever ends up as Chelsea’s permanent choice better be able to manage egos and an ever-aging squad.

  8. I wonder, If I received £1 every time a person say “just wait, he’ll score in the next game” from the very start when Fernando Torres transferred to Chelsea last January 2011, how much do I have by now?

  9. Chicharito: Torres you will not Score against us!

  10. Ten of the Most Astute Transfers Ever Made

By David Chalmers, writing from Clackmannanshire, Scotland

With the hype surrounding ‘Deadline Day’ dying down, I thought I’d draw up a list of the smartest transfer deals ever made. Though subjective, this is based mostly on players that cost very little money who turned into major stars for their club.

    10. Mikel Arteta; Real Sociedad to Everton; £2 million; 2005

Arteta originally arrived at Goodison Park on loan and made a good impression, leading for a permanent move to the Toffee’s.  The Spaniard played over 200 games on Merseyside and many believe if he played for a more prestigious club he would have been part of Spain’s international squad.  Considered one of the finest playmakers in the country before injury hampered his development, but that hasn’t stopped Arsenal signing him at the end of the 2011 summer window for a fee of £10 million.

  11. Kaka’s Mum Leaks News of Chelsea Move On Twitter

So it appears that Kaka’s mum has let the proverbial cat out of the bag.

Kaka has been linked with a move to Chelsea for a long time and recent revelations on twitter offer the clearest indication yet that Roman Abramovich will finally land his man in the summer.

Kaka has begun to put his nightmare behind him of late as he closes in on a return to full fitness, but it still seems that manager Jose Mourinho is keen to help one of his biggest earners leave the club in the summer.

It is Kaka’s mum that has started the speculation, by revealing through her twitter account that she is coming to England this summer.

She stated: “Next season we will be in London from the middle of August.” (Ladbrokes)

The tweet she sent has now been taken down but if you want to keep up to date with what Kaka is up to you may well want to follow his mum’s twitter account which you can access by CLICKING HERE.

(source: Caughtoffside and for more updates visit that site)

So my question is, Do you like Kaka to move in Chelsea or not and why?

  12. ‘Hopefully this is the first of many’ – Fernando Torres reacts after ending 14-game goal drought with first strike for Chelsea

Spaniard insists that his barren spell was probably harder for the fans to deal with that it was for himself, and thanked his team-mates for creating chances

Fernando Torres promised more goals for Chelsea fans after the forward finally broke his
duck since moving to the London club three months ago.

The club’s record signing, £50 million striker had gone 734 minutes without a goal before
netting in the 83rd minute of Saturday’s victory over West Ham, and the Spaniard admitted
that it was not how he envisaged the start of his Chelsea career.

“After fourteen games without a goal, it was not the beginning I was expecting when I
signed,” Torres told ESPN. “Hopefully this is the first of many.”

The World Cup winner insists that his barren spell has probably been harder for the fans to cope with, than it has for him personally, but conceded that it was always going to take time to settle into a new club, especially having signed half-way through the season, and thanked his team-mates for their support.

“It is not easy to come in in January and settle into a massive team like that with a style
that is very clear,” he explained. “But I’m working hard, and thanks to my teammates really.

“Without them I cannot score because they looked for me every time in the last game, but finally I have scored and there is less pressure on me now so I can enjoy my football and we can see how high we can finish this season.

“The fans have been very patient with me. I had more and more anxiety for them than for
    me.

“It’s not difficult coping with his form. Maybe it is for the fans because they have been
very patient with me and have shown their support in every game, in every game away when
the fans travel with the team.

“I was more pleased for them than for me because I just wanted to show them I can score.”

*So I think the Real Madrid thing that I blogged about yesterday was just really a rumor made by Bloggers who doesn’t know how to write beside bashing (no offence). Though I am not really a huge Fernando Torres fan and a Chelsea fan, I am still happy that his drought is over.

  13. TRUE or JUST ANOTHER RUMOR: Real Madrid Need To Sign Chelsea’s Fernando Torres To Truly Topple Barcelona

When I first read this headline in Twitter from @TorresUpdates tweet, my first reaction was: ARE THEY F**KING SERIOUS?!

I’m sure all of you football fanatics out there already knew Torres’ current status and his history in Madrid. He used to be the Captain of Atletico Madrid. He also had an interview before saying that he is “loyal to his club”  but we all know that it isn’t true anymore, right?

So when I read that tweet of course I did not hesitate to open the link attached to it. Here’s the link of the article too if you like to read it too: Click Here

Though I have to admit, the article have a point why they need Torres in Real Madrid. He’s a jigsaw puzzle unfit in Chelsea, but I’m not sure if he’s really a piece of jigsaw puzzle missing in Real Madrid.

    What do you think?

  14. Football Crush of the Week ♥

He has a smile that reminds me of Ricardo Kaka :) But he isn’t Kaka nor his son, because Kaka’s son Lucas is still around 4 or 5 years old I think, but this guy is also a Brazilian professional footballer from Sao Paulo Futebol Clube

     Full name: Lucas Domingues Piazon

Date of Birth: 20 January 1994 (age 17) *can’t believe that I am a year older than him!

Place of Birth: Sao Paulo, Brazil

    Height: 1.83m (6 ft.)

    Playing Position: attacking midfielder

    Current Club: Sao Paulo

Lucas also played in Brazil U15 National Team and his current club, Sao Paulo, already announced that in 2012 January Transfer he will be playing in Chelsea [I wish it’s Manchester United but what’s done is done]

This coming FIFA U-17 World Cup Mexico 2011 on June 18- July 10, we will see Lucas Piazon playing for the Brazil U-17 National Team. I hope the U-17 World Cup will be aired here in Philippines *fingers crossed*

Now, the big question is… Is he single?

I don’t know either but i just found a photo of him with a gorgeous girl.

    *heart shattering* lol
